LIFELINES by CJ Lyons

Set in modern-day Pittsburgh, this medical suspense novel features physician Lydia Fiore, who has risen from a homeless, vagrant past to become the new attending ER physician at Angels of Mercy hospital. When the chief of surgery’s son dies in an emergency under her hand, she is suspended for negligence, and everything she has achieved is at risk. With the help of new friends, including sexy paramedic Trey Garrison, Lydia must discover who is poisoning those she cares about and why–and the killer may be much closer than she realizes.

This story was tight and bristling with tension, obviously written by a medical expert with authority and credibility. The characters are sympathetic but troubled, and no one is “too stupid to live.” The plot is twisty enough to keep a reader engaged, and the villain’s identity comes as a surprise at the end. Interesting conflicts are set up with secondary characters, and I think #2 in the series was recently released.

I’d recommend this book for fans of romantic suspense. It was smart, credible, and fast-paced, with a tough yet sympathetic heroine. I met the author at an RWA conference, and she even convinced my ex-husband (who is not a heavy fiction reader) to check out her book. :)

Hi! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which
blog platform are you using for this website?
I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and
I'm looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
